Question:
I have a 2022 Ford F-150 and I am looking at adjustable hitches, something like the AM3405 or BandW TS10040B so I have the 2inch and 2-5/16inch balls plus adjustability for my different trailer heights. Will this hitch work well with rock tamers or a similar setup, if not can you suggest something that would be better? From the pictures Ive seen, it just doesnt look like there is enough room on the shank or the rock tamers would be gouging into the rear bumper which I want to avoid as well.

Hey Nick thanks for reaching out. The Rock Tamers mud flaps require only 1" of shank length on the ball mount to attach to. The B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10040B has 2 hitch pin holes that allow for some length adjustment, so you would have no problem attaching the Rock Tamers. We have had many customers report back to us that they use a B&W Tow & Stow with rock tamers and it works great. The # BWTS10040B you mentioned has 7" drop or rise so as long as this is appropriate for your trailers the B&W is definitely what I recommend. I would take that over the aluminum # AM3405 any day.

Hey Nick, how did the B&W Tow & Stow work out with your Rock Tamers on the F-150? It sounds like the extra shank length should have solved the clearance issue. Your experience could help others trying to pair the same setup.
