is the shaft long enough and tough enough to work with a set of Rock tamers

Expert Reply:

The Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty, Adjustable Mud Flap System for 2" Hitches # ERT00108 requires at least 1" of clearance from the outside of the receiver to the end of the accessory shaft.

The Stainless Steel Trailer Hitch Receiver Step with LED Lights # CR-605LED provides 1-7/16" separation between each pinhole so that from the center of the pinhole furthest from the end of the shaft backward would go in order of 2-3/16, 3-9/16, and 4-15/16 of clearance. Long story short, there is sufficient clearance in all 3 settings to use with Rock Tamers.

Whether it's tough enough, I did contact Pilot but they could not provide any detail there since they have never tested these products together. If you need a pin and clip we do have those as part # PC3.
