Troubleshooting a Curt Echo That Says Trailer Disconnected When it Isn't

Question:
I have a curt echo mobile brake controller 51180. It is paired and has a solid blue light. All the lights work. When I the trailer in the app it says 7 way plug has been disconnected. What should I check.

Neal, whenever you see that the app for the Curt Echo # C51180 is saying that the 7-way is disconnected, and it isn't, the problem is usually with the 7-way. I'd start by checking both the vehicle and trailer side and make sure that there are no bent pins or corrosion.
