Question:

I have a 2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail and I purchased two Tooenjoy Elevating Roof Rack 302 units to carry two kayaks. The 4Runner has the factory roof rack with crossbars, and due to the size or thickness of the rack bars, Im looking for a raised cross bar system thatll wrap around those bars while also being able to support the weight of the two lift systems and two kayaks.

Hello Rob, thanks for reaching out. We do have a roof rack option that will fit your 2015 Toyota 4Runner and will allow you to carry both of your Tooenjoy Elevating Roof Rack 302 units. Here is what I recommend:

This is a complete roof rack system, so you get your towers and your crossbars. The towers will attach directly to the factory raised rails on your 4Runner. The crossbars are 60" long which will extend long enough to support your two Tooenjoy racks. Just keep in mind that these crossbars have a 165 lb dynamic capacity. The Tooenjoy rack itself weighs about 38 lbs. So with two of them it leaves you with about 90 lbs of capacity for your kayaks.

Thanks Jesse. I believe the Y42GD is the same as the Y57SD that you recommend, but the cross bars are black instead of aluminum in color. Is this correct? I prefer black. Rob

@Rob Yes you are exactly correct and black is the best color. I recommended the # Y57SD since the silver bars are currently in stock. The # Y42GD black bars are going to be a few weeks out it looks like. If you aren't in a huge rush to get it, the # Y42GD will do great.
