Is The Draw-Tite Front Hitch 65052 A No-Drill Install On A 2012 Chevy Avalanche LT?

Question:
Good evening! I was writing to ask regarding the installation onto a 2012 Chevy Avalanche LT. I previously have looked at the Curt front hitches, which require drilling which I’d prefer not to do. This product, 65052, says that no drilling is required. Am I correct to assume that it just mounts onto the frame near the recovery hooks?

Hello Tyler, thanks for getting in touch. You are correct in your assumption. The Draw-Tite # 65052 mount in a different location than the Curt hitch. The # 65052 mounts to holes that are already present in the frame, just near the tow hooks. No drilling will be required, you just have to use a fish wire to get hardware inside the frame. Take a look at the diagram below.

Hey Tyler, how did the install of the Draw-Tite front hitch on your Avalanche go? It sounds like using the existing frame holes should’ve made the process smoother. Your feedback could help others looking for a no-drill option.
