Question:
Why doesn’t a Redarc Liberty controller work on my 2012 Tahoe with the tow option without the integrated controller?

Hello Tom, thanks for getting in touch. The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller can absolutely be used on a 2012 Chevy Tahoe with the factory tow package. GM did not install the necessary port for the brake controller on the 2012 Tahoe, but the wires are already present under the dash, so can simply hardwire the controller. For that use the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED52VR. This comes with the controller and the universal pigtail you can use for installation.
