Will MaxxFan RV Roof Vent Fan Remember Speed Setting if Power is Cut

Updated 09/30/2024 | Published 10/01/2024

Question:

My bathroom fan uses a switch to turn it off and on. If I turn this fan on to say speed 3 and then use the switch to turn it off will it remember it’s setting and come back on when I turn the switch back on?

Hey Tim, if you cut power to the MaxxFan part # MA00-06401K it will lose it's most recent fan speed setting so instead a better option would be to go with a fan that has a remote you could use to pick the speed like the MaxxFan part # MA00-07500K.

Do I just leave the switch always on then and only use the remote? Can the remote be mounted on wall or do they make a wireless wall switch of sorts?

@Tim You'd leave switch on all the time and then use remote to control it. The remote can be wall mounted as well as it comes with a wall mount to hold it.

@JamesonC is there a cheaper option that uses a remote but is maybe only 4 or 6 speed? That 10speed is considerably more than the one I was looking at

@Tim # MA00-07000K and # MA00-04500K have remotes too and look a bit less expensive.
