Maximum Weight Capacities and Mounting Information for the Titan 6-Hole Adjustable Channel Bracket
Updated 05/27/2014 | Published 05/23/2014 >
Question:
what are the max load capacities of this brackets tongue and gross towing? the description says the channel opening is 3.5inch wide, does it come with spacers because most tongue channels are 3inch wide? what are the mounting bolt diameters? what are the distances between these bolts? I need to know if it fits the conventional bolt tongue patterns of most trailers. Can you guys do an information video on this titan mounts to the togue. I would like to see how it looks on a trailer and with all the possible attachments. Since most non commercial trailer tongues are 3inch wide and this bracket is 3.5inch wide, I would like to see ideas on how to make this product look good with having to use unsightly washers to fill in the half inch gap between the channel. thanks!

The Titan 6-Hole Adjustable Channel Bracket, # T4865900, has a tongue weight capacity of 2,000 pounds and a 20,000 pound maximum gross towing capacity.
I spoke with my contact at Titan and the channel width of 3-1/2 inches is the measurement of the bracket, outside to outside. The steel brackets are approximately 1/4 inch thick which makes the opening of the bracket at 3 inches.
This channel bracket is constructed to work with most trailers and uses two sizes of mounting bolts, 5/8 inch and 1/2 inch. I am attaching a photo to show you the location of the mounting holes.
All of our installation videos are produced when our local customers come into our shop to have our products installed on their vehicle. If a customer schedules an installation for the Channel Bracket, #T4865990, on their trailer, our video team will be on it!
