Question:
Hi I am looking for a hitch for my 2022 Nissan Rogue SV. The tongue weight of 110lbs. The hitches you are offering for this vehicle have a much higher tongue weight. What standard should I follow and why are these numbers so different. I am planning to install a bike rack on the hitch if possible.

Hey Jelmer, it looks like your 2022 Nissan Rogue SV has a towing capacity of 1,500 lbs meaning that the tongue weight would between 110 lbs - 225 lbs (10-15% of max towing capacity), so you're going to want to follow whatever your actual tongue weight is. These hitches are rated higher, but no matter what you're always going to be limited to your lowest capacity component.
So with that being said, I'd recommend going with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e93ZR which will work great with a bike rack like # HLY84FR.

Hey Jelmer, how did things go with the etrailer hitch and the bike rack on your Rogue? It’d be great to hear if the setup handled your tongue weight as expected. Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar setup.
