Question:
My 2009 Trailstar tandem axle boat trailer came from Factory with oil bath wheel hubs. I would like to convert them to grease bearings. Can I just purchase new complete grease wheel bearing assemblies and switch them out? Is it a pretty straight forward process? ie. Remove nut, pull hub assembly off, clean........slide new grease assembly on and tighten? Thanks

Actually all you really have to do is remove the oil from the hub and then pack the hubs with grease and then get the correct bearing buddy to match the threaded hub bore. You will need to measure the inner diameter of where the old grease cap installed on your hub to pick out the correct bearing buddy.
If that measurement is 1.98 then you would wan the # BB1980T-SS, if it's 2.080 inches and has 12 threads per inch then you'd need part # BB2080T-SS, if it's 2.44 inches you'd want the part # BB2441T-SS.
For grease you would want the Red grease like part # L11390.

I also want to convert my wet bearing. My hub are not threaded, do I need to change the hubs to cover to bearing buddy's?
