Does Curt Trailer Wiring Kit for 2016 VW Tiguan Require Dealer Programming

Question:
2016 VW Tiguan AWD. Does your 4 pin wiring harness require re-programming of the CAN-BUS system to work and avoid conflict? Ive looked at VW owners forums, and it seems some trailer harnesses require VCDS or OBD-Eleven programming to work on the Tiguan on my configuration.

Hey Ed, the Curt trailer wiring harness part # CU26FR that you referenced does not require any programming at the dealer. It plugs in and is ready to go.
