Question:
I’m confused. I need a 1 1/4” ball hitch for my 2013 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI. Will the Curt hitch not fit it? And is there anything with a 1 1/4” ball? Thank you.

Hey John, thanks for reaching out!
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11474 will not fit your 2013 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen TDI.
Instead, you need to use the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7284 because it's the only one to fit with the TDI model.
If you're needing a ball mount with a smaller 1-7/8" hitch ball (there aren't any 1-1/4" hitch balls) then something like the Curt Fusion Ball Mount # C45152.
To complete a towing setup, you also need the Curt Wiring Kit # C59236 to activate your trailer lights.

Hey John, how did things work out with the EcoHitch on your Jetta SportWagen TDI? Did the setup with the smaller ball mount give you the towing fit you needed? Your update could make it easier for others with the same model.
