Hi there, Im interested in purchasing these brackets and the SPS4550 Surco Safari Basket for my 2020 Tacoma Double Cab. I do not have any factory roof rails on my Tacoma. Can you tell me, will these brackets bolt down into existing roof mounting holes on my Tacoma or will I need to drill new holes in order to mount these brackets? Thank you.

Hey Daniel,
The Adapter for Surco Safari Roof Racks # SPCH100 would require rails in order to install. The base of the adapters has two holes which will each get a bolt and square nut that would sit inside of a track in the rails. You can add rails to the roof of your Tacoma with # SPR3600 (36" length) since you don't have any factory rails.
You'll definitely want to use some butyl tape # AL28FJ on the bottom of the rails to help prevent any water from leaking into the roof of your Tacoma.

Hey Daniel, how did things go adding the Surco roof rails and brackets to your Tacoma? Were the rails easy to secure and seal with the butyl tape? Your feedback could really help others setting up a similar roof rack.
