Excellent product, easy to install. Perfect for an application where you are unable to access the underside of the mounting surface, such as the roof of an RV, although for an RV roof you'll need to explore optional fastening options as the nut inserts that ship with the Thule rails are for a thin roof, < 1/8".
The web site was very easy to follow and had plenty of visuals so i could understand the product. Help with two questions was very prompt and clear, which enabled me to do a worry-free installation. I did not want a clamp-on type of mount for my bare roof, wanting a track and sliding set-up. All other sites had the caveat to not use this on a metal roof [understanding the concern about having to use correct hardware]. I opted to use rivnuts which i bought myself.
I went through a number of sites before I realized that they were warning me off without knowing my objective. Having a 2014 Scion xB also spooked them into not getting past step one with me. You guys listened me through. I received the package and installed it in very good time.

Thule has always made an excellent product, and this doesn't disappoint. Top quality as usual .
Good price, but the box these came in was mangled and the end tape was broken. So the silicone sealant tube was missing, as were some stainless steel screws and flare nuts. I needed the roof rack for the weekend, so I went to the hardware store and replaced the missing parts for $6.36. When Helen from etrailer followed up with my complaint, there was NO hesitation. She made sure I was reimbursed. THAT is customer service. Yes, it was a bit of a time imposition for me, but this is the way a company should run, and the way that employees should respond. I'll keep returning to them for business in the future. That's why it's a 5 star, and not a 1 star.
Item was shipped without the installation kit to install! Only item shipped was the load bars themselves. Contacted etrailer support regarding the issue and was told that that they "will look into it and get back to me". Representative noted that they expect a response within 30 days of purchase if anything is missing in the packaging. Reading the other reviews it seems like I am not the only one who was shipped only the load bars and not the installation kit. I will update once I hear back from them on how they will handle the missing items.
I had previously ordered this item from a large mail order company and received it late and with all the hardware for assembly missing. Etrailer answered all my questions and got me the product on time , well packaged and with all the hardware for assembly. I did install it according to Thule's instructions but, I added another larger stainless steel washer inside the Leer cap to all the bolts holding the track down. I felt this spread out the stress on the holes more and provided more holding power on the cap.
These tracks were easy to install on my Leer cap with two people. The Tracker ii system works perfectly and I am able to haul all of my surfboards, Thule box and roof top tent thanks to the tracks.
I've had this track on my Mercury Mariner for 1 year now and it has been awesome! The directions were easy to follow and their install video came in handy for I installed it myself. Customer service was exellent! The day I ordered the track online I got a call from Brian telling me that what I had ordered was not in stock and it would be a few days before getting it, but they had another length in stock that would fit my car if I needed the track asap. I also sent a few messages on their website which they answered promptly. Super pleased with them all around!
I originally bought this top rack to mount my Thule aero bars to the top of my pop up camper to transport bikes which works great. I also discovered that I could mount my Zamp Portable solar panel to the top rack using Zamp permanent hold down clamps, so when I arrive at my destination the bikes come off and the Solar panel goes on. Takes an extra five minutes to set up but my portable solar panel is now securely attached to my roof of the pop up. The only extra parts you need are the Thule sliding pins that attach to the bottom of the Zamp mount kit feet and then slide into the top rack slots. My top racks needed to be mounted 33 1/2” on center apart to fit the size of my solar panel.
I was looking for a way to inexpensively outfit Mt trucks topper with a set of Thule roof racks from a previous vehicle I had. Etrailer had a “used” set of tracks, sans hardware, for a very reasonable price, SCORE! Thank you Etrailer for coming through once again! The tracks arrived quickly and appeared as new! I would have had to buy different mounting bolts anyway as my topper has a storage compartment on one side and a couple hanger brackets that are “built-up” in thickness on the other, standard hardware would be too short. This option saved substantially, thanks to Etrailer!
The track kit arrived without the installation hardware, all I received was the track itself. Once I contacted etrailer, it took another 8 days for the hardware package to arrive. That was disappointing. TI thought they would have sent it next day air.
Installation went smoothly overall. Directions were good. The rack once installed has a tendency to move from side to side with minimal effort....not sure if this is going to be a problem or not. The reason is that the flare nuts rest above the roof line by approximately 1/32" once they are installed. Since the flare nuts are higher than the roof, this prevents the track from resting totally flat so it will wobble on the flare nut (similar to a teeter-totter vulcrum).
Had initial boo boo on shipping. But thanks to the awesome staffing at etrailer. (Jeremy, Kelly, Lauren). The issue was quickly resolved. I now have the order. And customer service was top notch response.

They answered my questions regarding install very quickly, with attached printable documents. Also, thought some parts were missing, once again quick response and suggested I look more thoroughly in the box, and they were right! I will buy all my trailer and rack needs from them in the future.

I’ve been wanting to add an old set of crossbars to my camper for a while, but had no way to attach them. These top tracks were the perfect solution. I can now use a rack, bike/kayak mounts, anything and take advantage of the added storage capacity. To keep the curvature, I trimmed mine down a few inches with a mitre box and hacksaw.
No issues, and they work great!
