Question:
2006 airstream safari. Original Tappan microwave has failed. Microwave dimensions are 11.0 h x 20.0 w, depth is tbd, but no more than 16-17. Black color. Black trim plate outside is 16.0 h x 23.0 w. U guys have been great in the past, can u help me find replacement that would work? The trim plate could be slightly larger dimensions and still work. Thanks!

Hey Glenn,
To stay within the dimensions you've provided the High Pointe Built-In RV Microwave # HP59ZR might be a possible fit. It's 19-1/8" wide x 11-1/2" tall x 14-13/16" deep with a trim plate that's 20.75” wide x 15” tall.
If the trim isn't going to cover the gap or if you have enough space to go a little bit larger then I would choose the # HP99ZR or # HP49ZR instead. These units are 20-1/2" wide x 12-7/8" tall x 20" deep and have a trim plate that's 24” wide x 16.75” tall. This is a bit larger than your current model so I recommend doublechecking the spacing in your cabinets to ensure this would be a fit.

Kevin: Thanks for the complete response. The options in your response 2nd paragraph do not fit (they are too high for current hole in wall). The eTrailer P/N 324-000105 (GreyStone Microwave and trim kit combined) seems to be a potential solution. I've done a lot of dimensional checks and I think I can make it work (spouse approval required 8<\ ). The issue I have is that the trim plate vertical dimension (outside-to-outside) is listed as 15". One of the videos says its 14-7/8" high. Which is it? This is extremely important for me as the existing mounting holes in my RV are exactly 15" apart vertically, so I need to place the microwave-trim assembly EXACTLY so that the trim covers the holes. I think this is doable with some minor mods to the camper installation location. IF the trim plate is EXACTLY 15" high then 1/2 of the top and bottom mounting holes in the camper may be visibly exposed (not great Bob!). Is there a trim kit option that is slightly larger (especially vertically) for this same Greystone microwave? Thanks again - you and you're company have been very helpful. Note: I am running out of time to solve this.
