What kind of brake controller do I need to get for a 91 GMC pickup?

Hello Wendell. For your 1991 GMC Pickup I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 brake controller. It is durable and reliable. It has large, accessible buttons and an LCD display which make it very easy to use.
Keep in mind that you will need to wire your truck with a 7-way if it doesn't have one already. If you do need wiring, you can use the Curt T-Connector # C55315 along with the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. These two kits contain everything needed to wire the truck with a 7-way, including the necessary wires for the P3 brake controller.
