Hello Rolando. The Curt # C47JR hitch you mentioned is for the 2024 Volkswagen ID4 without the factory tow hitch. Models with the factory tow hitch will use part # C57JR instead. This is designed specifically to replace the factory hitch receiver, so you will be removing and replacing it.
