What Is The Jaw Opening Dimension On The Gen-Y Safety Chain GY49GR
Updated 08/07/2024 | Published 08/03/2024 >
Question:
What is the jaw opening dimension on the hook? I have the Gen-Y 5inch Offset Kingpin along with the Curt Safety Chain Loops. I saw a video that recommended something larger than 5/16inch jaw opening to get the safety chain hook onto the Curt Loops.

Thank you Jesse. That's a good data point, but I'm more interested in the dimension of the opening at the safety clip...I don't think something 1.2 inches wide will go into the hook because of the safety clip. Would you be able to hold the clip open as if something was being placed on the hook and measure that opening width? Thank you!
