Question:
Will this tow bar work on a 08 jeep Wrangler X 2 door

Hey Tom,
It looks like the GVWR of an 08 Jeep Wrangler is around 4,700lbs so you would be under the 5,000lb capacity of the Blue Ox Acclaim Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX4330. You can have your Wrangler weighed at a highway weigh station to confirm. To connect this tow bar to your Wrangler you'll need the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1126. This baseplate fits standard factory bumpers, if you have a non-factory bumper then we'd need to look into fitment.
If you haven't picked out the rest of your flat towing components then I have the following recommendations:
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will transfer your motorhome's traffic signals to the tail lights of the Wrangler.
Braking System: If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then you'll need the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251. This system has an indicator light that taps into the brake light switch to show you when the brakes are being applied. Since this wire isn't useable on your Wrangler you'll need to install the RoadMaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751452 for the signal to indicator light.
If your motorhome has air brakes you'll want the Demco Air Force One # SM99243 instead. This won't tie into the brake light switch so you won't need a stop light switch kit with this system.
The battery will also need to be disconnected while towing. If you'd like to make disconnecting/reconnecting the battery as easy as pressing a button you'll want to install the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect Switch # RM-766.

Hey Tom, how did the Blue Ox Acclaim tow bar end up working with your Wrangler X? I'm curious if the base plate fit your bumper style without any issues. Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar flat tow setup.
