Hello Ray, thanks for reaching out. The # GS-2250DL are for grease only, and they are not intended to be used in an oil bath system. A better option for that is the Timken Grease Seal part # TMK98ZR. This is identical in size to the # GS-2250DL seal, only the Timken seal can be used with grease or oil.
