Can these lights be mounted flush to the roof metal ribs of a trailer and daisy chained so there are multiple lights all controlled by a single switch?

Yes you can, Stan. You can both daisy chain the Peterson Great White LED Trailer Interior Cove Light # 359-2, and screw them into the metal ribs on your trailer.
You can then wire the lights to a simple on/off switch like the Single Rocker Switch # 37212225.
