To upgrade the AC in your Keystone Cougar, I recommend the Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner item # FR42PV in white or item # FR32PV in black. These 15,000 BTU units include a conversion kit lets you install this AC unit onto your existing Coleman, Dometic, or Advent air distribution boxes. They have a start capacitor that softens the initial amperage draw, and are known to be the coldest and quietest units on the market.
