Replacing Dometic 459516.701c0 15,000 BTU AC With Furrion AC Unit

Question:

I have a Dometic 459516.701c0 15k AC. Would like to replace with a furion. Would you know what the correct fit would be and what kit i need to direct hook to the Dometic

Hey Bob, unfortunately there aren't any current Furrion units that will directly hook into your existing Dometic setup anymore. Your Dometic 459516.701C0 uses the older R-410A system, and the new units have switched to R32 refrigerant. The new R32 components aren't backwards compatible with the older controls and thermostat, so you'll need to replace the complete AC system rather than just the rooftop unit.

I'd go with the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR83TD. It's a complete 15,000 Btu system that includes the rooftop AC, air distribution box, controller, and new wall thermostat, so you'll have everything matched together for the new R32 setup.
