Can Yakima SprocketRocket Be Adapter To Fit Rhino-Rack T-Slots

Question:

I have a question about attaching another t-slot system to my existing aerobar rhino that I bought from you 2 years ago I have acquired a yakima sprocket rocket and it has rack mounts for the smaller tube sizes on a smaller roof bar. As the yakima sprocket rocket has tslots i was wondering if there is a system to perpendicular mount the yakima sprocket rocket tslot to my rhino aerobar tslot. Attached are photos

Hi Stuart; I didn't get your photos but I did reach out to Yakima about this. They said that there is no way to adapt the SprocketRocket to T-slots. The only thing it will fit is square or round bars since they were the primary design when the bike rack was made.

Unfortunately, this means the only solution is to switch to a different bike rack. If you want to stick with Yakima check out the High Speed # Y25FR or # Y54NJ. These are fork-mount carriers that can clamp onto your Rhino-Rack bars or mount using the T-slots.

Hey Stuart, did you end up switching to one of the Yakima HighSpeed racks for your Rhino aerobar? Knowing how that setup worked could help others trying to mount older Yakima carriers on newer bars.
