The Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 8' Wide Enclosed Trailer # M354FR could work out as a replacement spring for your 2001 horse trailer, but we'll need to check the specs with your trailer to see if this fits.
This spring is designed for a 60" to 96" wide trailer door and has a 120 lb spring capacity so you'll want your door to weigh a little over that so the door doesn't shut on it's own.
