Making Adjustments to Reese Dual-Cam Sway Control
Updated 05/12/2014 | Published 05/09/2014 >
Question:
in a previous article you mention loosening the bolts on the dual cam, then doing a short road test and performing a few turns - this allows the nuts to settle into their final spot... do the nuts on the cam move up and back themselves during the road test? How will i know theyre in the final spot to be tightened?

Expert Reply:
The nuts that are on the dual-cam sway control # RP26002 do not move by themselves. You will need to make adjustments by turning the nuts. This adjusts the cam arm length. You want the spring bar hook end to nestle onto the cams as shown in the included picture. Once the bars are in the right place in the cams then you tighten the dual-cam nuts as described in the instructions linked for you.
