Good morning, I have a older draw tite weight distribution hitch. I am looking for a replacement for the head unit due to wear. The number on this unit is 06623-099. Thanks for your time

Hi John; the Reese 06623-099 has been discontinued since 2011. In the past we have had someone successfully replace theirs using the # RP58167 but it will also require replacement spring bars since the ones you have now won't fit. If you let me know what yours are rated for I can find the right replacement bars for your setup.
As an alternative you could go ahead and replace the entire system. The cost difference won't be much, if any, depending on the system. For a replacement I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control. You can choose from the following based on tongue weight:
-Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0450 (Tongue weight up to 450 lbs)
-Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0600 (250 lbs - 600 lbs Tongue Weight)
-Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0800 (400 lbs - 800 lbs)
-Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-1200 (800 lbs - 1,200 lbs)
