Hi Chris,
To flat tow your 2024 Ford F-150 you'll need the following components:
Baseplate: etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e86YR
Tow Bar: etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e94ZR. This tow bar comes with safety cables included and has a built in rise/drop to help keep it level between the motorhome and F-150.
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM38FR or incandescent # RM26FR. These diode kits will splice into your factory wiring to display your motorhome's traffic signals through the F-150's tail lights.
A charge line kit # RM-156-25 is highly recommended to help keep the battery charged while you tow.
Braking System: Your Renegade Explorer 40ERB should have hydraulic disc brakes so the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251 would be the best option. If you find you have air brakes instead then the Demco Air Force One # SM99243 would be what you need instead.
A brake lite relay kit # RM-88400 will also be needed to prevent the brake signal from the F-150 from overriding the turn signal from your motorhome. If you have a push-button start then you'll want to wire this in place using the normally closed wiring diagram.

Hey Chris, how did the setup for flat towing your F-150 behind the Renegade Explorer turn out? Did the braking system you chose work smoothly with your motorhome’s brakes? Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar tow setup.
