Recommended Rooftop AC Replacement Unit For A Jayco Jay Feather Ultra Lite X213

Question:
Hi, I have bad air conditioner on my on my Jayco feather lite x213. It is a Dometic model number 3314851.003. it just blows hot air. Could you please recommend a direct replacement. I was looking at you Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup - Start Capacitor - 13,500 Btu. I want a direct fit replacement. Thank you for your help.

Hey Michael,
The part number you gave me is just coming back to a universal air distribution box so I was able to confirm the BTU rating of your current unit. If you remove the shroud on the rooftop unit there should be a sticker somewhere on the unit that lists the BTU rating so you can match it.
In terms of compatibility all of these units follow an industry standard cutout hole spacing of 14" x 14" so it just comes down to BTU rating and the wire harness connector. Some units have a 6-pin connector and others will have a 9-pin connector. If you remove the cover of the air distribution box you should be able to see the wire harness hanging down from the rooftop unit and plugging into the controller. If you find you have a 9-pin connector then you'll just need to pick up an adapter # ACCOLKIT in order to plug in the new unit.
If you find your unit is rated for 13,500 BTU's then you can go with the # ACDOM135. If you find it's rated for 15,000 BTU's or you just want to upgrade you can go with the # ACDOM150.

Hey Michael, what did you find when you checked the BTU rating and connector on your Jayco’s rooftop unit? Once you matched those details, did the replacement air conditioner fit the way you wanted? Your update could make it easier for others replacing their Dometic units.
