How to Determine if Advent Air Low Profile Air Conditioner Will Work on RV

Hi will this ac unit work for my 2016 forest river sunseeker 3170ds? Mine keeps freezing and looking for a replacement

Hello Cori,

It is possible you can use the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner # ADV89FR on your RV, but we don't have any way of knowing what is on any specific RV to determine compatibility.

First, if your current air conditioner has the control box built into the existing AC unit, then the # ADV89FR won't work as a replacement. Other than that, if you're replacing an Advent Air set up this unit will work.

If you have a Carrier AC then it will work with Adapter Wiring Kit # ACCARKIT.

If you have a Coleman AC (with the exception of ACs with a heat pump, and the Coleman Mach 6000 or 7000) then it will work with Adapter Wiring Kit # ACCOLKIT.
