Question:

Hello, Looking at Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4inch Item DT75MR I have the 2024 Hyundai Elantra Blue hybrid model. Will this still fit that model? Is any modification/cutting of the bumper area needed for proper fit? Thanks for your assistance!

I recommend the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH45SR for your 2024 Hyundai Elantra Blue hybrid as the Draw-Tite # DT75MR will not fit. The EcoHitch is a great option as it has the removable 2" receiver opening allowing for a larger selection of accessories and ball mounts. It is also removable so when not needed you maintain the clean factory appearance you currently have. A portion of your rear fascia will need to be trimmed for this to fit.

I recommend also installing the 4-Way # TK86FR with the receiver. This is the most common connector used for small trailers you may haul one day and will also allow for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 should your hitch mounted accessory impair the view of your tail lights.

Thank you Bud, I appreciate the detail in your reply. I’m afraid that’s more than I was looking to spend at this time. I’m ultimately just looking to attach a hitch-mounted bike rack, so the price-point of the other model I was considering made it attractive. If I can ask one more follow-up question, are there any other models that would fit a 2024 Elantra Blue Hybrid? Thanks again for your time

@Jason We do have the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT26PR as well. Do understand this only has the class 1, 1-1/4" hitch opening so it can limit you to what bike racks you are able to use. A bike rack like the Kuat # SH12B would be a great option to go with this receiver as it is a lightweight aluminum construction.

Hi Bud. I have a question for you. I'm looking to Haul a trailer with a jet ski. I have an 2022 Elantra N LINE. I'm pretty sure that EH45SR is going to be ok for my car but I need to hear your expertise. Thanks a lot

@GustavoHello Gustavo. The EcoHitch # EH45SR is for the Hybrid only, so this would not be correct for the N Line model. At this time there is no trailer hitch for the 2022 Elantra N-Line. Stealth Hitch is working on developing a hitch for this model, part X5005S-P, but this is not available yet. I am afraid there is no ETA at this time. It is for sure coming though we just don't know when.
