Hey Tim, great question. The clamps on the Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack # HLY66ZR will indeed work with the 3" wide frame on your Aventon E-Bike. The frame clamp has a slight U-shape, and with the clamp opened about 3/4 of the way it will easily accommodate a 3" wide frame, or even something a bit larger. On bikes with larger frames the clamp can usually be attached to the seat post.
