Can Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack Carry Trek Powerfly

Updated 01/21/2026 | Published 01/14/2026

Question:

Will the rack, HLY66ZR, work well with the current model Trek Powerfly? Would probably need to attach it to the bike seat post. I have 2018 4Runner for the vehicle. I want a rack the will tilt down for access and up when not is use. I also want a ramp. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hey Vince, the Hollywood Racks Destination E-Bike Rack part # HLY66ZR that you referenced was designed to work with e-bikes that have alternative frame styles like your Trek Powerfly so it would work just fine. You could clamp to the seat post like you mentioned but the slanted top tube of your bike would work just fine too. This has a ramp built into it as well to make loading/unloading easier as well. This rack can also tilt all the way back too for access to the rear cargo area.

Vince, I own one of these and love it. Extreme versatility with different ways to clamp and secure the frame. Jamieson’s post is right on. Ramp and folding part of the package.

Hey Vince, As indicated by the expert, the Hollywood Racks Destination E-Bike Rack is very versatile. As long as the bike has a seat post and two wheels you are good to go. I’ve had this rack for going on 3 years now, you will not be disappointed. Stefan

Hey Vince, I have a two fairly heavy ebikes (over 70lbs each), and both have a slanted top frame bar and this bike rack works great for them. What I do is attach one of the rack's holding clamps to the seat post on one of the bikes then for the other bike, which has an even more slanted top bar, I use a "Bike Frame Adapter Bar" which provides a temporary horizontal top frame bar, then I attach the rack's second holding clamp to that added bar, which works perfect! Highly recommend this bike rack!
