Can Stealth Hitch for 2024 BMW X3 M40i Allow for Entering Trailer Mode

Question:

When installing this on a 2024 X3 M40i, is it possible to enable Trailer modeinch when towing with the vehicle? On the stealth hitch website, there seems to be another item that needs to be purchased to make this possible, and Ive heard you need to have the vehicle programmed as well to do this.

Hey Phil, yes Stealth does offer an additional harness with the part # SH62VR to enable trailer mode that we don't. With that harness you wouldn't need to make a trip to the dealer but you will need to basically do a remote session with a BMW dealer so they can program it over the internet if that makes sense. .
