Solution for Hayes Brake Controller that Stopped Working

Question:
G'day Jameson, when testing my Hayes Energise 3 controller, I have power on all wires (test light) although dull on the red pedal wire, bright when depressed. I have no illumination on the the controller LED when doing anything (manual slide, depressing the brake lever). I disconnected the blue wire from the connector to see if there was any back feed, but the wire from the controller is still ‘powered up’ (vehicle side of the connector having no power to trailer plug) with no brakes or manual slide engaged? I’m no sure what that would insinuate, what’s your thoughts..?!

G'day Bob! So you have done enough testing to basically determine that your Hayes brake controller has an internal problem that can't be fixed and would need to get replaced. A very reliable and great option for that would be the P3 part # 90195. The Hayes you have now is somewhat known to be problematic.
