Recommended Replacement Braking Assembly and Bearing Kit for AxleTek Brakes

Updated 05/21/2024 | Published 05/19/2024

Question:

I have AxleTek B10H-51 brakes hydraulic surge on my boat trailer. I’m looking to replace them but want marine grade. I see these BH10-63 and also the BH10-73. What is the difference between the 63 and 73? Will either of these replace my 51s? Also, my drums are ok 8-247 but I want all new wheel bearing parts including bearings, washers, seals, and the piece that screws onto the threaded spindle to hold it all together not sure what it’s called. Do you sell these all in a set or do I need to figure each one out? Thanks much.

Hey Dan, the only difference between the Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit # AKUBRK-35-D and the Hydraulic Brake Kit # AKFBBRK-35-D is that # AKFBBRK-35-D is free backing which lets you reverse your trailer without the brakes being actuated by the actuator and # AKUBRK-35-D is not.

Other than that, these two braking assemblies are the same with the same, and will work fine to replace your Hydraulic Trailer Brake # AKFBBRK.

For your Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-247-50UC3-EZ you're going to need the Hub Bearing Kit for Lippert, Dexter, and AL-KO Axles # BK2-100.
