Question:

Hi, Im interested in upgrading to the Fulton F2 winch. but my trailer only had a 2-hole system. Is there an adapter plate that works with this? Thank you

The Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed Trailer Winch # FW20000301 does not have any kind of adapter plate to allow you to mount it to a different bolt pattern. You will have to drill new holes if you want to use this winch. I attached a diagram below with the mounting bolt pattern.

Hi Robin, Thank you for your reply. I understand that there is no adapter plate. My trailer has two holes which are centered in the trailer bracket. Could I use a large washer and cover the center cutout for the two bolts, and put a bolt there instead of two out to the sides? Drilling two holes next to an existing one will weaken it considerably. Thank You, Joyce

@RobinH the bolts have to stay in this position to mount the winch. I understand what you're saying about drilling next to the other holes, and I would not advise doing that either since as you said it will weaken it. Depending on the size of the bracket you may be able to shift it forward or back to keep it away from those holes. Outside of that the only option would be to find a winch with a matching bolt pattern or replace the bracket and drill new holes.
