Can Curt 2 to 3 Tail Light Converter # C56196 be Installed on Trailer Wiring

Question:
Good morning. Can a 2 to 3 wire converter be mounted to the trailer as opposed to the tow vehicle. This way multiple vehicles that toe the trailer don’t all need the converter. Thank you for you time, Frank

Hey Frank, yes you absolutely can mount the Curt 2 to 3 converter part # C56196 on your trailer instead of on your tow vehicle for the exact reason you mentioned.

I’m just confused on where the red wire on the converter would go in the wiring harness. Can you advise? Thanks
