Are Kenda Karrier Trailer Wheel/Tire Combos Factory Balanced

Question:

Are the tires balanced upon arrival or should they be taken to a tire shop to check balance?

Expert Reply:

The wheel and tire combos we sell are not balanced at the factory. When the tire is mounted to the wheel, the high (heavy) spot on the wheel is matched to the low (light) spot on the tire, which leaves the wheel and tire somewhat balanced.

You may have the wheel/tire professionally balanced if you wish, but having perfectly balanced tires is not as important with trailer tires as it is with a passenger vehicle.
