Upgrading To Go Power MPPT Solar Charge Controller With Remote Display From PWM Controller
Updated 03/25/2024 | Published 03/24/2024 >
Question:
I want to upgrade my GP-PWM-30-UL solar controller with the Go Power MPPT GP72RR and the remote monitor. Since the one I have is flush mount I think Ill have to modify how this is installed. Does this look like a good replacement for my controller or do you recommend something else?

Expert Reply:
The Go Power MPPT Solar Charge Controller # GP72RR is a great option to upgrade your current PWM controller. Depending on your current configuration you can mount the MPPT controller where the PWM currently resides as it is large enough to cover the hole or you can relocate it and use the Remote Display # GP37MR. Do understand the remote display is much smaller than your current cut out for the PWM controller so you will have to repair the hole and create a plate to mount the remote screen if you select that option.
