What Gap is Needed between Frame and Spring for SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # TSS-107-40

Question:
The gap between my spring and the frame is 8. The sumo spring add on are 6, If I put a 2 1/2 spacer on the frame would that work.

Hey Roger, so with both spacers used the overall height of the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs part # TSS-107-40 is 6-3/4 inches. So since you have 8 inches between your leaf spring and frame that would mean that there would be a gap of 1-1/4 inches. Ideally the SumoSprings is between 1/4 and 1/2 inch taller than the gap so a spacer of 1-1/2 inch welded on your trailer frame would be ideal.
