Question:
Hello, looking at baseplates for 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid. What is the difference between the etrailer branded plate and the Demco plate? They appear to be identical to me. But better to ask.

You have a good eye Richard, as there is not a difference between the etrailer and Demco base plates that fit your 2024 Ford Maverick:
- etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit e64FV (discontinued)
- Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM77YV
Both will fit your '24 Maverick and work exactly the same way so there honestly is not a difference. You will also need other components to flat tow your Maverick which I'll go ahead and list out for you, and keep in mind the tow bar will work with either base plate.
- Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Supplemental Braking System: Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # SM99251
- Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25
- Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400

Thanks Kyle. What about Demco (or Etrailer) vs Roadmaster baseplate? I just looked at the video that Etrailer posted and it says the Demco or Etrailer is less cutting but maybe (?) not as secure. Looking toward your thoughts on the baseplates.
