5th Wheel Base Rails & Custom Brackets For 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Question:

I have a 2024 Chevrolet 2500HD and a Pro 15K 5th wheel hitch and rails. I need the custom mounting brackets for my vehicle, I do not have the prep package. What brand of mounting brackets should I use. And also will other brands of hitches work on these brackets and should I get different rails?

Hi there Brad; good questions and let's start with the 5th wheel base rails, as you will need new ones to go with a custom, no-drill install kit for your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500. The reason is you can't mix and match base rails and brackets, and I believe by "Pro" you are referring to old Pro Series rails, which there aren't brackets for. So for new rails and brackets the best option is the following:

- B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # BWRVK2505

I like the B&W # BWRVK2505 for one reason - quality. There just isn't a manufacturer who makes higher quality parts than they do, and I'll honestly never hesitate to point people to their products.

This is the exact kit I would use if it were my '24 Silverado, and the rails will work to mount any 5th wheel hitch. The only other thing you may need if you don't have one is a 5th wheel wiring harness, the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C53CR.
