Question:

I have a 22 Toyota highlander xle that I need to install the tow wiring for. I have a trailer with the 7pin. How do I know if my vehicle is pre wired and what wiring package will I need for the 7pin conversion?

You can either look for the factory plug behind the bumper on the driver side or you can call your local dealer and have them look it up with your VIN number. Assuming you have the factory tow package you can use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK74FR. If you find that you don't have the tow package you will need the # C59236 instead.

To upgrade to a 7-way you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, and everything else you need to upgrade your 4-way to a 7-way. There is no aftermarket plug and play wiring harness, which isn't uncommon, so this kit is the best option.
