Would a companion 18000lb slider hitch be sufficient for a 12000lb Montana High Country?

Hey there Jeff, good question, and I think you were referring to the Patriot as there isn't an 18,000 lb Companion. And the answer to your question is an unequivocal yes, a 12,000 lb 5th wheel like your Montana High Country can absolutely be pulled using the 18,000 lb B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270.

You made a great choice with the Patriot, as not only is the weight rating correct, but there just isn't a better overall value for a 5th wheel hitch, in my opinion. The quality of the Patriot is most noticeable due to its 3/4" thick jaw system which ensures the king pin is totally stable in the hitch. This means you're getting much less back and forth movement of the king pin in the jaws than hitches with meeker jaw systems.

To mount the Patriot # # BWRVK3270 in your 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 use the B&W Custom Installation Kit With Base Rails # BWRVK2506.
