Question:

We currently own a B and W Patriot Trailer Hitch w/slider dual jaw, 18K. We are looking to purchase a 2024 Chevrolet 2500 HD with the standard short bed. It is equipped with the puck system for the fifth wheel. I understand we will need an adapter system. My question is there an adapter rail that will work with our current fifth wheel? Thank you.

Normally you'd be correct since the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270 is designed to be used with industry standard rails.

However, the Patriot Slider hitch you have does not have the clearance to be compatible with any 5th wheel adapters. You'd instead need to swap the base of your hitch out with the Replacement Slider Base for B&W Companion Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVB3775.

This will allow you to just swap the base out to fit into the pucks on your new truck without having to change out the entire hitch.
