Could HydraPro Alpha G-1000 Brake Actuator be Powered by Trailer Battery
Updated 02/15/2024 | Published 02/10/2024 >
Question:
So would powering this with the trailers “camper” battery be a problem.? Only supplying power black when hooked the to truck is the norm. But if this is also charging the camper battery, then the unit will be powered continuously. That’s ok.?

They HydraPro EOH Actuator part # DH54FR that you referenced was designed to be powered by the 12 volt accessory circuit of the tow vehicle's 7-way which typically also would get ran to the trailer battery as a charge circuit for it. So as long as your trailer battery has the 12 volt circuit ran to it this system could be powered by the battery as well.

Thanks Jameson. The factory wiring diagram shows continuous black wire power to the unit at all times. Wether break away battery or camper house battery. So it must be ok. Internally senses yellow or blue and “wakes up” maybe.? I added a battery disconnect for when it’s parked, just for fun. Thanks again.!
