Question:

I see the height of the hitch is 7-9/16 in tall... how tall is it when open to connect to a trailer? I need a hitch that will fit in a recessed area custom application on a winch truck. Thanks!

I went to our warehouse and measured the Buyers Products 50 Ton Air Compensated Pintle Hook # 337PH50 to get the height dimensions. The overall height of the pintle when open is 12" and when closed is 9-1/2". I also took a measurement for the height from the center mounting hole which you can have as reference point if your recessed area already has the holes drilled. When open it is 9-1/4" to the top of the hitch and 6-1/2" when closed. I have included images below with these measurements as well as the mounting hole dimensions for you to reference.
