Question:
Hello, I have a 2019 Tesla Model 3 and Im hoping to install this hitch to tow a U-Haul trailer. The U-Haul trailer according to the website says it weighs 900 lbs empty. I plan to put my coffee cart equipment in the trailer totaling to around 600-800lbs. Would this hitch be able to support that? Thanks!

Yes, it will! The etrailer Hitch item # e33ZR has a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs when installed on your 2019 Tesla Model 3. It looks like your vehicle's capacity is slightly higher at 2,200 lbs but either way you'll have plenty of ability to haul a 1,500 lbs - 1,700 lbs trailer.
Uhaul trailer's require a 4-way wiring connection to control the trailer's lighting functions. There no custom fit options and to avoid splicing into your Tesla's wiring you'll need to use the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 119250KIT. This wiring harness uses clamps to sense the electric signals needed to operate your trailers lights.
To round out your towing setup, I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
I have linked a some installation videos below to show you how to get this parts installed.
