Question:

I have a blue ox tow bar. It is 3 years and the ends that are bolted on are very stiff. The arms still go in and out easily but the ends are very stiff. What should I lubricate the bolt joint with?

The only thing that requires lubrication on Blue Ox tow bars like the # BX7420 is the inner arm. All of the other bolts like the one at the connection bracket use self lubricating washers. Cleaning with soap and water should be enough to take care of the problem you're experiencing unless the washers are damaged or worn out. If that is the case, you can replace them using a washer kit like the # BLU46XR or # BLU65CR.
